About Challenge
The 30 Patterns 30 Days Islamic Art challenge was held from the 2nd of January for 30 days straight. Students are challenged by the CEO of the Global Centre of Islamic Art, Fadhila Al Dhahouri, to create a 1 hour-a-day creating 1 geometric pattern a day. The Islamic Art Community aims to create a space where you can explore, experiment, and practice authentic techniques through the Traditional Method, leaving you feeling empowered for the rest of the year.
10% Donated to People of Palestine
10% of the community's 2024 revenue, including all tickets booked for this challenge, will be donated to the people of Gaza and Palestine. 🇵🇸
Beginner-Friendly
All the patterns are beginner-friendly, and students are given PDFs and recordings of each pattern for 6 months upon registration.

Traditional Method
Explore the rich heritage of Islamic geometric designs drawn in Traditional Method, a method that has been inherited over hundreds of years and preserved by Master Mohamed al Janabi.
Beginner-Friendly

Fadhila Al Dhahouri
Fadhila Al Dhahouri is the CEO of the Global Centre of Islamic Art, leading a team dedicated to reviving Islamic art's transformative power on a global scale.
Together with her co-founder, Sandy Kurt, her mission is to inspire her team and the world to see Islamic art as a force for positive change. Fadhila loves teaching and wants her students to embrace, protect and nurture Islamic Art the best they can.
Guest Artists

Alberto is an experienced Spanish architect with more than 16 years in the field. In 2016, Alberto visited Al Hambra Palace in Granada, Spain, and straight away fell in love with Islamic Geometric Patterns and Architecture.
Mohammad, is a scholar in Islamic sciences, theology, and jurisprudence. He's a Hafiz (a person who has memorised the Qur’an), a Master's graduate in Visual Islamic and Traditional Arts from The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, and offers education and consultancy on traditional arts in London's Islamic faith schools.
Mike is an Electrical Engineer based in Ottawa, Canada. He finds and tunes up drafting tools for artists interested in Islamic Art and shows how to use different drafting tools on Instagram and YouTube.

Enrol to 30 Patterns in 30 Days Challenge
We have two payment methods that are accessible to everyone. Enrol today!
You will have access to recordings for 6 months upon registration.
Compass, ruler, pencil, eraser, fineliner or coloured pencils, Bristol paper, and tracing paper.
The challenge will last 30 days. We will highlight the challenge dates on our website and Instagram.
That’s okay. You can still view the recordings, which you will have access for 6 months.
Islamic Art Challenge will last a specific duration. You will be presented with a new pattern every day to analyse and create.
Master courses are conducted live by an art master. You will experience a global live course with students from different countries and it will be held at a specific time.
Pre-recorded courses are conducted by an art master, which you can purchase and learn at your preferred time.
You can't teach a pattern from the course to someone else. You can share the pattern on your socials.🙂
